Learning takes place beyond the classroom and聽our broad Co-curricular Program encompasses sport, the performing聽arts, public speaking and community involvement. The Co-curricular Program supports聽and complements the spiritual and academic life of our students.听 The College is also a member of the Independent Sporting Association (ISA) and Independent Primary Schools Heads of Australia (IPSHA).听
Expressions of interest are sought from suitably qualified and experienced聽Cricket, Basketball, Touch Football and Tennis聽Coaches for the coming summer season commencing聽Monday 10 February 2025.听
Essential to these roles:
- Experience in Sports Coaching along with relevant accreditation is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice.听
- A valid Driver鈥檚 Licence and have access to a vehicle.
- Current First Aid certificate is highly desirable
- Proven ability to lead and manage adolescents聽
- Willing to work mornings and/or afternoons and Saturdays.

2 year full-time temporary contract position 鈥 Commence Monday 10 March聽(or by negotiation)
Reporting to the Director of Co-curricular, through the Head of Sport, the Head of Athletic Development will be responsible for the overall management, promotion and development of the College’s Athletic Development Program from Year 5 to Year 12.
This position will be expected to lead, develop and implement strength and conditioning training programs, oversee the training facilities and support the physical development of students through data-driven performance analysis. Thus, it is expected you will work collaboratively with the Co-curricular Team and Head of PDHPE to ensure a cohesive approach to training, competition and personal growth, while also promoting a positive and inclusive athletic culture within the College community.听
Ultimately, we would like to ensure that we have an Athletic Development Program that is unique to 性爱视频 Patrick鈥檚 College, and one that provides boys and coaches a well organised and administered program in addition to a practical, functional and achievable pathway to achieve both individual and team success and enjoyment.听
Key Responsibilities
- To develop a comprehensive 性爱视频 Patrick鈥檚 Physical Development curriculum / program for students aged 10 – 18, to be followed by the Head of PDHPE, the PDHPE faculty, College coaches and their respective teams.
- Oversee the implementation of the Physical Development curriculum / program and monitor its effectiveness regularly.
- Design talent identification strategies focusing on physical attributes to aid in sport selection.
- Cultivate and manage the implementation of a progressive skill and training for all ages, levels and sports.听
- Provide hands-on coaching in the gym and/or on the fields.
- Collaborate with sports heads to improve player development.
- Manage data to monitor physical development progress.
- Lead and oversee a team of 性爱视频rength and Conditioning (S&C) casual coaches.
- Enhance the skills and knowledge of S&C coaches.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including medical professional, external coaches to allow representative/elite level players to train with outside programs at the College and schools and governing bodies such as ISA and IPSHA.听
- Offer educational opportunities for both parents and students.
- Engage in and contribute to College sports related events.听
- Ensure compliance matters pertaining to coaches are met and records kept in consultation with the Director of Human Resources, Risk and Governance, and Director of Co-curricular.
You will be able to demonstrate you satisfy the following essential selection criteria:
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Sciences or similar.听
- Current ASCA L2 性爱视频rength and Conditioning Coach Accreditation.
- Extensive working knowledge of concussion and serious injury response and management.
- Excellent planning, organisation, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent administration and written communication skills.
- Ability to exercise substantial independent judgement and initiative.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build聽strong and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain an environment in which all students participate enthusiastically and where they strive to excel.
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance.
- First Aid and CPR qualifications or a willingness to undertake.
- A strong sense of community.听
Desirable Criteria:聽
- Extensive experience in the youth and/or school environment.
- Experience with rehab management, preferably through working with a multidisciplinary environment.
- High level of skills in data management and testing technologies.听
- Required to be available for weekends.
